As the need to provide funerals in a place that was larger and more convenient for people to congregate, the family residence at 23 Maple Terrace was renovated into a funeral home in the 1930's.

Alfred MorinHis son, Alfred, who worked with his father in the 1930's operated the funeral home until retirement in 1973. "Fred" as he was known, was very active in Spencer and the area. He donated the first ambulance to the newly formed Spencer Rescue Squad back in 1959. He was a charter member of the Spencer Exchange Club, Spencer Fish & Game, D.P.H.S.
